Winter of 2017, South Korea. Jun-geun, a university student who postponed his graduation for job seeking, gets kicked out of the dormitory because he failed to enroll for a winter semester. He has to get a room and find a part-time job to survive severe winter in eastern part of Korea. He accidentally finds a surfing guesthouse called ‘Welcome Guesthouse’ and begs for a part-time job although he has never
surfed before. While he works there and learns how to surf, he gets into a quarrel with a typical rich kid Sung-min on a lineup. They agree on having a match in a month with the condition that the loser has to leave the sea. While Jun-geun trains with the help of Welcome Guesthouse season members, his professor calls him and says there is a job interview on the day of the match. Jun-geun can’t make a choice between the match and the interview and the clock is ticking.
